Nicaragua Weits To Produce 2.5 Million Quintals Of Coffee
"We weits a good harvest, with good quality coffee," said the executive secretary of CONACAFE, Ramón Obregón.Coffee production in Nicaragua will be 2.5 million quintals in the current production cycle from 2015 to 2016, according to estimation released today by the National Coffee Council (CONACAFE).
"That's the goal we have set, to (produce) 2.5 million quintals. We weits a good harvest, with good quality coffee," the executive secretary of CONACAFE, Ramón Obregon, told to reporters. The current harvest of coffee, one of the three main exports of Nicaragua, started in October 2015 and will end in September 2016.
Grain sales abroad October 2014 to September 2015, corresponding to the previous harvest totaled 414.3 million dollars, according to Centro de Trammites de las Exportaciones (CETREX). Meanwhile, the volume of exports during the last harvest ended in 2.3 million quintals (45.45 kilos sacks).
